The world’s first Technologic Decking® podotactile system
A new urban project demonstrates that public architecture can be accessible, sustainable, and aesthetically harmonious. It is an innovative pavement made with VISENDUM® Madera Tecnológica®, which incorporates the world’s first tactile paving system designed to facilitate orientation and safe movement for people with visual impairments and reduced mobility. VISENDUM® was chosen for both technical and social reasons: its high durability, weather resistance, and lack of maintenance make it an ideal material for high-traffic public spaces.
This project aims to raise awareness among the general population about the importance of accessibility, promoting active participation in urban life. Thanks to this important technical solution, VISENDUM® Tarima Tecnológica® has made it possible for all citizens, regardless of their abilities, to access and move around public roads independently and safely.
